Brandon Gercara est artiste chercheur·e, militant·e queer et décolonial·e.
Diplômé·e de l’École Supérieure d’Art de La Réunion, son travail se concentre sur une étude critique des dynamiques de dominations dans un contexte post-colonial. Iel développe une pratique pluridisciplinaire, incluant performance, photographie, vidéo et installation.

Iel est sélectionné·e au Salon de Montrouge, à la Biennale de Casablanca et à la Biennale des Rencontres photographiques de Guyane. Brandon est entre autre invité·e à présenter sa recherche à Jeu de Paume Paris, au CCCOD de Tours, à La Friche Belle de Mai Marseille, en duo show au Transpalette de Bourges, en solo au FRAC RÉUNION, collectivement à Palma de Majorque à la galerie Baró, à Mulhouse La Filature, à Bruxelles Volta XL. 
 
Artiste associé·e au Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain de La Réunion et fondateur•ice e l’association Requeer au sein duquel iel a organise de nombreux festivals ainsi que que la première Marche LGBTQIA+ de La Réunion. Aujourd’hui Brandon Gercara développe le projet “Majik Kwir” en invitant de nombreux artistes à collaborer avec ellelui.

Brandon Gercara is an artist researcher, queer and decolonial activist from Reunion Island. Graduate of the École Supérieure d’Art de La Réunion, their plastic research work focuses on a critical study of all the dynamics of domination in a post-colonial context.

They develop a multidisciplinary practice, including performance, photography, video and installation. They are selected at the Salon de Montrouge, the Casablanca Biennale and the Guyana Biennale Photographic . Brandon is, among other things, invited to present his research at Jeu de Paume Paris, at the CCCOD in Tours, at La Friche Belle de Mai Marseille, in a duo show at the Transpalette in Bourges, solo at the FRAC RÉUNION, collectively in Palma de Mallorca in the Baró gallery, in Mulhouse La Filature, in Brussels Volta XL. 

Artist associated with the Regional Contemporary Art Fund of Reunion Island and founder of the Requeer association within which they have organized numerous festivals as well as the first LGBTQIA+ March in Reunion Island.  Today Brandon Gercara is developing the “Majik Kwir” project by inviting many artists to collaborate with herhim.
